This isn't how I learn best, but the courses are really informative. They're all "lecture style" with notes for most sections available for download. Not very expensive and the course is broken up into nice bits that are easy to take in. In order from useful to a complete waste it goes Bar Smarts, European Bartending School then wayy out in last place, is A Ba Above.īarSmarts covers the most ground and far as history, recipes and basic behind the bar know-how. I've done the BarSmarts course, A Bar Above's mixology course, and passed all three online courses offered by European Bartending. I've taken a bunch of course during the various lockdowns, just as a way to keep sharp for when I get back behind the bar and to learn a little history and production methods along the way.
